Yes: Tablet form can be taken with food. Some taking it on an empty stomach has cause stomach upset. There is no interaction with antacid but theoretically antacid coats the lining of the stomach and may delay the absorption. Some info. missing: Since don't know how far along you are, it's hard to generalize. During the third trimester, your stomach has less room for food and that can contribute to heartburn & indigestion. The enlarging uterus puts strain on the back muscles so back ache is common too. What's the cause?: You're describing "gastritis." Stomach inflammation may derive from both acid & non-acid causes, slow emptying of the stomach, H.pylori infection, atrophic & hypersecretory problems, indiscrete use of NSAID's &/or alcohol, to name a few. I used to have a problem with nausea/vomiting after eating. This stopped for several years, but lately seems to be happening again. Tonight, I had spicy food, and vomited, and there was a spot about the size of a quarter of bright red blood. OTC antacids
