Can chronic dry nasal passages along with sores and scabs inside the nose lead to infection in the bronchial area accompanied by cough?
Anything that creates a blockage of the intestinal tract. You may think of the intestinal tract (stomach, small bowel, large bowel) as somewhat akin to a garden hose. M.D. visit: From your history and description, these symptoms may represent an allergic reaction which can cause red irritated eyes and nasal passages. Allergies, post nasal drip, occasionally stuffy nose with clear and sometimes bloody mucus. Sore throat and pressure/headaches on forehead.Sinusitis?
Symptoms: nasal congestion and very bad smell from nose, no sinusitis but enlarged turbinates. Could surgery help eliminate the smell?
Not sure: Turbinate surgery is performed by a variety of techniques to improve breathing and I am not sure the odor would disappear. You need a nasal endoscopy to rule out an infection in the nose. If you already have had such a procedure and everything was normal and sinus disease has been ruled out, think of high reflux of gastric acid, so called LPR (laryngo-pharyngeal reflux). ...Read more

Hard to say: Silent reflux in the presence of post nasal drip is more commonly associated with cough and throat irritation. Not sure what you mean by throat / neck expansion. It doesn't sound like your throat swells suddenly which would be angioedema. Another possibility is an enlarged thyroid gland. ...Read more
