Would I need surgery on a nondisplaced nasal fracture?

Nondisplaced nose fx: A non displaced fracture of the nose implies that the nose bones have not moved and hence the nose is still straight. If that is correct you do not need surgery on the nose. However, there have been times when the xrays did not show any fracture but the nose became crooked after trauma. In that case you need surgery. In essence its more to do with the shape of the nose and not the detail of xrays. ...Read more

Can reduction of fractured nose be done or not in pregnancy?

Depends: Any procedures undertaken on a pregnant woman are done after a careful weighing of the risks versus the benefits. Later: The human skull will achieve 90% of its adult size by age 9-10 but continue to enlarge until adulthood. Open procedures like nasal surgery generally have their best chance at a good outcome the first time their done, because scar tissue is not as easy to work with. Probably patience: If everything is healing, and they eye is working normally, then allow the healing to continue. This: This is such a tough situation to be in, and I hardly know how to begin to address the issue, that doesn't come over as just clinical and cold. Your man needs really good maxillo-facial surgical care now, immediately, no waiting. Misaligned and crushed tissue in the face starts to set and repair quickly, and he has got to have all the right x-rays and planning done as soon as is possible.

Good medicine in not free! It is nobody's right to have medical care, and whether or not you have insurance, which just gets in the way and while sharing the financial load, creams 30% of the user medical dollars away from being used to treat people, urgent care needs to be acquired by what ever mean you can get it.

Fracture (Definition)

It seems that many believe that a "fracture" is a lesser injury or an incomplete break in the bone, but this is not correct. Fractures may be displaced or ...Read more
