Margin of error: When taking blood pressure it is important to remember that all cuff measurements will have potential for slight variability. 99/77 ; 100/71 really aren't out of sync with each other. Must figure personal characteristics such as height and known atherosclerotic stiffness. If pulse pressure is 120 you must have HTN and this should be treated down to goal. Y r u measuring BP?: Both can be normal depending of level of rest and/or activity. Main question is why a healthy 25 yo is measuring it?
