I haven't taken my naproxen in a couple of day and now have a headache and feel nauseated is this withdrawal?
I've been taking Aleve (naproxen) at least 2x a day for 10yrs for headaches. I haven't taken any in 4 days Now have unbearable migranes &nausea. Is this withdrawl?
As good as any: There are at least a dozen antiinflammatory meds on the market. Naproxen is effective but not for everyone. As far as NSAIDs?: Naproxen in a recent danish study proved safer for the heart than all other non steroidal ant-inflammatory drugs, even compared to placebo. It will replace some of my other go to drugs. But there are caveats. It can irritate the stomach. It does negate aspirins cardio-protection. In a way, if followed: Those 2 medications can be taken together, but continuing use of any medication, especially an NSAID like Naprosyn, (naproxen) should be followed and monitored regularly by a health care provider, as long term use may lead to kidney and/or gastrointestinal side effects. No major issue. Thing is if the individual takes Prasugrel he likely had a PCI done. If such is the case NSAIDs are not recommended on patients with CAD.
SO the reason of not taking these 2 together is not because of a bad interaction, it isjust that people with CAD should not take Naproxen. ...Read more
