Can I take aleve, (naproxen) ibuprofen, or nyquil to relieve nausea from morphine? Thanks in advance.
No.: Aleve, (naproxen) Ibuprofen can actually worsen the GI upset. Antiemetics are usually prescribed by physicians. Morphine is prescribed by a physician. Person should consult with the doctor that prescribed the morphine and let them know about the side effects to either get medication for the nausea or change the pain medication. ...Read more

I currently have bronchitis. I've been prescribed naproxen and ciprofloxacin HCl. Can I take 1mg of xanax (alprazolam) or generic nyquil to put me to sleep.?
I took Nyquil about 3 hours ago. I will also be getting cramps tonight. I have naproxen, Bayer, (aspirin) and paracetamol. Which would be best to take?
Nocturnal cramps.: Have no known cause and do not respond well to medications. Some find that NSAIDS (naproxen) can help but not consistently. Worthwhile to try changing exercise habits, taking multi mineral and vitamin supplement, doing stretching exercises, wearing shoes with good support, and making sure to be well hydrated. Severe cases may be treated with benadryl, (diphenhydramine) gabapentin or even quinine like meds or benzos ...Read more
Nyquil, Mucinex (guaifenesin) and aleve? I have been taking Mucinex (guaifenesin) and took Aleve today, but can't sleep. Can I take nyquil to help me?
Aleve Nyquil Nexium (esomeprazole): Hello. When you take Aleve, are you normally taking it with Nexium (esomeprazole)? Ingredients in Nyquil shouldn't negatively interact with Aleve and Nexium (esomeprazole). You can always stagger your medications by taking Aleve with your Nexium (esomeprazole) first. Wait 60 or so minutes and then take Nyquil if you are still concerned about interactions. Hope your cold resolves soon! ...Read more
I'm currently experieincing knee pain, and my doctor has put me on 800MG or Ibuprofen, and two 220MG of Aleve (naproxen). Is it safe to take Nyquill?
This is incorrect: There has been a misunderstanding here. Either 800mg ibuprofen three times daily OR 2x 220mg Alleve twice daily is ok, but these two medications are essentially the same thing and should not be taken together at max dosing. It is ok to combine ibuprofen with acetaminophen (tylenol) for pain that doesn't respond to either alone. If the NyQuil brand product has ibuprofen or naproxen in it, no. ...Read more
As good as any: There are at least a dozen antiinflammatory meds on the market. Naproxen is effective but not for everyone. The reason there are so many medications is because not one is uniquely superior to the others. One person will "swear" by Naproxen while another says it "does nothing for me". ...Read more
