Fluid or fat!: If the "bags" are present every day (not allergies) and go away after several hours, this is fluid, and eyelid surgery can improve, but not eliminate this tendency. Dark Bags: Dark bags under eyes are often due to: fluid from thin blood vessels under eyes. This can be due to genetics (got it from mom or dad), excess rubbing (shiners), allergies, excess salt; be sure kidney function is normal.
