My dr has me on doxyc. For folitculitis, the OTC meds broke me out bad.Seems like doxcy isn't helpn anymo.Any suggestions what nxt for folitculitis?
Response in few days: Usually you wouldn't see a response right away, so i'd give it a few days if you haven't already. Standard folliculitis treatments include Keflex if you're not concerned about MRSA (resistant staph), and Clindamycin or Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) if you are. I'd followup with your doctor if the doxy isn't working. Questions to ask: could this be something other than folliculitis? Is a culture needed? Best of luck! ...Read more
Suffer from costo chondritis. MY doctor wont prescribe anything other than paracetamol. My gran gave me melfen. Is it safe?
Ibuprofen: Melfen is ibuprofen. It can be a good choice for costrocondritis , if there is no concern for stomach irritation, kidney issues, or bleeding limiting its use. Usualy dose would be 600 to 800 mg 3 times a day (with food) for 5 to 7 days. I would still check with your doctor to make sure that there is not a reason that melfen was not suggested initially. ...Read more

Unclear: Meftal-Spas is used in India for cramps according to the web. It is not used in the US. I can find nothing about it for regulating menses.
