Discontinued in US: I'm surprised you can even get this nowadays. It is a topical anti fungal (nystatin) but is also has a corticosteroid cream (triamcinolone) that is an effective anti-inflammatory med. It's usually used for fungal skin infections (tinea corpus) with secondary inflammation. You can't or shouldn't use it vaginally. Safe but...: The concept of safety is relative. Mycolog cream will not affect the intercourse, but will most likely not make it pleasant for both you and your partner. No (very short!): The concentration of triamcinolone (tac) is too high. For the face, concentrations should be 0.025 or less of tac. Problems that occur if you use this high concentration is thinning of the skin and steroid acne. Usually no higher that 2.5% (hc)hydrocortisone (or equivalent) is recommended on the face. No not a good idea: It is not a good idea to use nystatin/triamcinolone cream for razor bumps. Razor bumps need to be prevented by waxing, laser treatments, and if not infected you can use retin a (tretinoin) cream and if there is infection you may need topical antibiotics with/without systemic/oral antibiotics. ...Read more
