Can I use this canesten-s clotrimazole & beclomethasone cream on my head where I dnt have hair (hair fall)?
3 weeks of hard yellow crust on penis head w/ redness/inflammation. Azithromycin (1g) and clotrimazole (2x/day for 10 days) did not work. Advice?
Given lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) for penile fungal infection. Used 9 days, foreskin thinning, blueness on head. Month later, skin still thinned & burning. Concerned!
Use steroid free: Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) is a combination of both an anti-fungal and a topical steroid. The steroid is causing the thinning of the skin. And 9 days is not long enough to treat fungal skin infection. You need a topical cream like lotrimin that is just the anti-fungal cream and not containing any steroid, and then use it routinely for weeks to clear up the infection. Oral meds also available but more side effects. ...Read more

May be thrush: Thrush is a whitish coating inside the mouth (on the tongue, inside the cheeks, the gums, etc...) caused by an overgrowth of yeast (candida). Thrush is non-urgent if a baby is behaving fine, but should be evaluated by a primary care doctor who can prescribe medication if needed (no over-the-counter treatment available). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Lumps on lip: Without a clinical examination, it is difficult to make a diagnosis. However, what you describe sounds like mucoceles, which are small mucous cysts.
