I have a yeast infection that won't go away after being treated with Monostat. I also have an IUD. But it is inserted correctly. Sex is always painful?

May not be yeast: Three options- your yeast is resistant to monistat, you have an allergy to monistat or most likely, it wasn't a yeast infection. None of this sounds related to your IUD. Your health care provider can do some simple testing to differentiate between these options. Sex should not be painful and with proper treatment you should be feeling much better. ...Read more
