Yeast infection won't go away. Been to doctors several times, prescription treatments don't help, have tried natural methods as well. How to fix this?
See a doctor: If you haven't already, you need to have an exam. You may have a different infection causing your symptoms. Occasionally, yeast may be resistant to the common treatments. These may require a broader spectrum antifungal, such as terconazole, if Monistat or Diflucan (fluconazole) don't help. Be sure to get an accurate diagnosis first. ...Read more

I have white yeasty (watery) discharge that won't go away. Tried yeast infection meds and a swab was negative. It's been 2 months, what could it be?

I have a yeast infection that won't go away after being treated with Monostat. I also have an IUD. But it is inserted correctly. Sex is always painful?
May not be yeast: Three options- your yeast is resistant to monistat, you have an allergy to monistat or most likely, it wasn't a yeast infection. None of this sounds related to your IUD. Your health care provider can do some simple testing to differentiate between these options. Sex should not be painful and with proper treatment you should be feeling much better. ...Read more
