My Wrist Is In Pain For A While Is This A Sign Of Arthritis
My left hand is in pain, and has been tingling for the past few hours. Could this be a sign of carpel tunnel? I crochet, but this is the first pain.
Possibly : Tingling and pain can have many different causes including trauma, vascular injury, positional stress (elbow bent for long periods of time), as well as nerve compression. Signs of carpal tunnel usually involve tingling/numbness and pain of your radial three fingers (thumb, index, and long). If you are experiencing the symptoms along your small and ring finger than the ulnar nerve is involved. ...Read more

Unlikelly, but...: Very unlikely, but having said that there are many atypical signs and symptoms of heart disease. If you have the risk factors (family hx, smoking, diabetes, htn, high cholesterol) you should see your doctor, who can examine you and perform the nessecery tests to determine if you have heart disease. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My husband is having a swollen upperlip with a blister/boil in the middle portion of it. There is no pain and it is there for 6+ months. what is it?
Don't guess: No responsible physician would provide a diagnosis for your husband's lesion without an evaluation. He would need an assessment to determine what this is. ...Read more
Is swelling a hint of wether it is a sprain or fracture? And can it be for both or just one of the two?
Can be either: Swelling indicates that there is injury and the healing process has begun. The body's natural splint or cast is the swelling. Whether you need to be evaluated for a fracture depends on how severe the pain and difficulty moving the area are, and if it appears out of alignment or deformed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
3Yr old has leg (shin) pain usually in one leg on and off for over a year could this be serious? Is this a symptom of cancer? :(
More information...: The question you have asked just raises more questions for me for a medical opinion. That is always a sign that the issue should be discussed with your child's pediatrician. Is the pain only at night? Does it affect ability to walk? Is there swelling? Growing pains are common in kids BUT that can't be diagnosed without more information. See the pediatrician :) ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Probably benign : A click sound in your neck maybe from degenerative disc disease, or arthritis. Could possibly be something more serious as well. If there is no pain in your neck, or pain going down your arms, then it is probably a benign process. It is wise to see your primary care physician to see if there are any imaging studies needed to evaluate it further. ...Read more
I have pain in my hip joint, the pain is unbearable at times. Is this most likely to be arthritis type of pain.
Depends: Depends on the location of the "hip." the term "hip" is often not specifically localizing, even for physicians. If pain in in the groin, actual hip joint may be involved. If pain is on the side, it may be bursitis. If pain is in the butt, other possibilities. This would have to be localized and then specific treatment of bursal injection, identification and assurance of no fracture.... ...Read more
Muscle burning and aching in leg after a pubic symphysis realignment (happened a month ago). Is this a sign of fibromyalgia. and or a bad alignment?
Sciatica?: 20's female considers "fibromyalgia" (FM) & leg pain after symphysis pubis "realignment". Not enough pain loci to suggest FM. Sciatic leg pain attends pelvic girdle sacroiliac joint (SIJ) subluxation, which is commonly concurrent w. symphysis pubis torsion/subluxation. "Headwaters" tracts of sciatic nerve cross ventral aspect of SIJ sulcus before grouping into sciatic nerve that exits the pelvis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I've had a headache for 3 days now, it is accompanied with some wooziness. The pain is generally at the back of my head. Is this serious?
Do NOT worry: You describe an ongoing tension headache, which may be getting triggered from neck issues, but could also be associated with migraine or occipital neuralgia. I don't worry about tumors, blood clots, or stroke issues with you, and think this is mostly annoying and benign. Physical therapy and mild analgesic might help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
