I have started shivering or shuddering 24 hours after surgery. I don't think I am running a fever. I'm not hot or cold. What is causing this?

Need more info: This strongly suggests that you should call and discuss this with the surgeon who performed whatever procedure you have had. Since you are already on antibiotics this clearly needs assessment by physical exam and perhaps labs and imaging studies. Call the doctor now. ...Read more

Shivering: This is one mechanism the body has of increasing temperature by muscular activity. It is possible your body temp was below normal and the shivering is bringing it back up.
