I am a housewife,30 yrs, with three young kids.my voice is hoarse for last two to three months, what speech advice you give as therapist not available?
I need advice.My child 8 mounths old.Her diagnosis gastroesofagus reflux.Now she has a hoarse voice, voimiting.We use ranitidin.What foods I can give ?
Reflux: Thicken her foods, never over feed, offer small more frequent feeds, do not feed her lying down. Have her eat more solids. It generally improves once babies have the ability to sit alone. See ENT: The facial swelling might be due to steroids even though this would be uncommon side effect from a short-term high dose quick taper of steroids. If your hoarseness was caused by vocal cord edema, you would have noticed some improvement. If the voice disorder lasts for more than 3 weeks, i would strongly advise you seeing a laryngologist to make a proper diagnosis.
