"Musty, butsy": On a serious note, there could be a vaginal bacterial infection if the "musty" smells more like "fishy". A MD can check that out for you in their office. On the other hand too frequent washing can create "issues". BV: Sometimes disturbances to the natural bacteria in your vagina (douching, irregular bleeding, unprotected sex, etc) can allow abnl bacteria like Gardnerella to overgrow and cause a fishy odor.
