My Two Year Olds Temperature Is 104when Does High Temp Become Dangerous
Condition not temp: Kids febrile response to illness is more a gauge of how well their body rejects the germs than how serious the illness.I've had kids with 105 giggling & running down the hallway while some with 100.4 couldn't move without pain.Any kid with sustained t >102 for >12hrs deserves a dr visit.I am more concerned about taking fluids, wet diapers & play.A 7yo with 107 last yr with flu did quite well. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Common issue: Most fever in infants starts out as a viral illness & many will self heal. The normal effect of fever on breathing rate is to increase it by up to 5 breaths /min/degree.At two the regular rate range is 24- 40..It should not cause baby to look like they are struggling to breathe. As long as baby takes fluids well enough to pee every 6 hrs, home monitoring is ok, if not have eval. ...Read more
Low temperature and diarrhea in my 10 year old . Just come on quickly. She is shaking & very weak feeling. Very pale. What do I do? Temp is 92.3
Rectal temp: Your temperature reading sounds inaccurate. If you use a good thermometer and take a rectal temperature, and if it is still low, go to the er immediately - there are possibilities like e.Coli sepsis. You don't say if she is in pain, or how many bowel movements she has had. Hydrate her and take to er if she can't tolerate liquids. She needs hydration. Check that temp again;go to er if abnormal. ...Read more
