Not ovulating: It sounds like you have delayed ovulation and it's going to take longer to get your period. Your ovulation can be delayed for many reasons: stress, endocrine problems (thyroid), other medications, weight gain, etc. You should see your doctor for an evaluation. No: Having your fallopian tubes tied prevents your eggs from traveling to the uterus, and prevents pregnancy, however it doesn't do anything to the ovary, so if you have problems with ovarian cysts it will not help with that. No: If you are on oral contraceptives prior to the tubal ligation keep in mind that it is the pill that is keeping your cycle regular. PCOS is associated with irregular menses so if you stop the pill when you don't need it for birth control any longer, you will likely have irregular or no menses.
