Breathing real air: Congratulations on doing the most important thing that smokers can do for their health! you stopped smoking! i do not hear this complaint often. It might be due to an infection that happened after you quit smoking. If you have a fever or productive cough or wheeze, see your doctor. If not, i'd attribute it to your body's need for the nicotine. I'd also think about nicotine replacement to help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I've had my tonsils removed twice already but stones are still coming up from behind my tongue, down in my throat. My breath smells bad all the time.

Pain relief: Tylenol (acetaminophen) will help with regulating the temperature and pain as will motrin. Viscous Lidocaine can also help provide topical relief. If still not better you can go to the er for an injection of tordol or a prescription for ketorolac, the best non narcotic pain medication in my opinion but can increase the risk of bleeding acutely after tonsillectomy. Before considering this discuss with your surgeon. ...Read more

Weed is not needed for a normal life, in almost all cases (there are rare exceptions). Ear symptoms may be a coincidence or may be related to the smoking. If the ear pain never returns after one quits smoking, there probably is no problem. Otherwise, one's primary doctor can evaluate. ...Read more

Can or should?: You can start right away, but first, I am not condoning its use now or ever. Secondly you run the risk of healing issues. Rather that asking dentists who know nothing about you, your medical and dental history and the circumstances concerning your extraction, you should ask the dentist who extracted the tooth. It's a perfectly reasonable question and your dentist should be willing to answer it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
