My toenail is falling off from a trama a few months ago but there is a new one about halfway grown behind/underneath it. Is it safe to paint it?

Paint away Monet.: If that is want you want to do, there is no reason not to. You might occasionally visually inspect the application site to make sure you are not irritating the skin with the paint. Bruising & swelling?: Have an x-ray taken. Usually with a break, there is bleeding from the bone which leads to swelling and bruising to the toe and surrounding area.
