Just a thought...: I'm glad the CXR was OK - that minimizes the chance of lung problem - but upper respiratory issues can be the thing! Sinus drainage into your throat (post-nasal drip). There. mucus can accumulate and block air - esp if it is thick and plentiful. Consider an ENT exam and till then, try OTC or Rx sinus meds, mucinex, (guaifenesin) anti-inflammatories, etc. Best wishes. (I feel your pain). ...Read more

Post nasal drip?: Most people i know with this symptom have post nasal drip. It's drainage from sinus cavities going down the back of throat and causes either cough, tickling or other irritation.
