R/O GERD/GASTRITIS: You need an exam and Labs including Hpylori Ab Ig G and M. Stool for hpylori x 3. I usually start with Zantac 300mg. Eval for ulcer: Coumadin (warfarin) by being a blood thinner can put you at risk for bleeding and of particular concern is the GI tract. Pain felt at the belly button could be generated anywhere in his gut from just outside of his stomach to his mid-transverse colon-in other words, not very specific location.
