I often feel like my food is not being digested hours after eating, but my stomach is growling. Why is that?
+/- Gastroparesis?: Consider gastroparesis=a slow-emptying stomach that is most symptomatic after the stomach fills from meals. Maybe its functional due to brainstem reflexes induced by eating--often exaggerated in irritable bowel syndrome resulting in altered perception of gut distension, "growling", &modified transit of food. Sometimes, gastric outlet delay may reflect inflammation, scarring, biliary disease, more. ...Read more

Why is it whenever I eat meat I get an upset stomach and a lot of bad gas? Is this an intolerance? Are our bodies really not meant to digest meat?
What kind of meat?: Is this a particular type of meat or all animal based food? You may do trial with just the meat, not other foods and see if there is one animal that you have worse reaction to. Start the trial with small amounts of baked fish or chicken, just the fish or chicken, no additives other than a little salt. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more
I think my stomach is very slow at digesting food. Is there a way to increase your digestive metabolism?
Many reasons: Sometimes it is related to the composition of food you eat. Liquids transit faster than solids. And fats slow down the emptying of the stomach. Some people, just by the variation of people, have slower transit intestinal tracts than others. Some people have medications or illness like diabetes that can affect how the intestinal tract moves along. It's hard to say based on the limited info. ...Read more

Good food: The easiest way to improve digestion, reduce weight, cholesterol, is by completely stopping grains, lentils, potatoes based items. Healthy food items such as eggs, fish, chicken, meats, vegetables, some saturated fat (butter, ghee, coconut oil), olive oil are very effective. Now usually my stomach going upset after i eat food from outside. But my firends doesnt happen anything by eating same food... what is the wrong with my stomach ????
Maybe the dairy?: As a pediatrician, I see my patients lose their ability to digest milk sugar (lactose) as they grow up. That is normal. Two-thirds of the Earth's population become lactose-intolerant. One can eat lactose-free versions of the same foods, or take a Lactaid tablet with the meal. An inability to properly digest oils and fats is a different problem. One's doctor can look for other problems too. ...Read more
Depends: Only foods that cause bacteria to produce gas should make your stomach bloat. Beans would be an example. Try different fruits, vegetables, and nuts to see which, if any are a problem. Also most of the fatty fishes like wild salmon should not be a problem. If most foods are causing bloating consider a food allergy test or checking for irritable bowel syndrome. ...Read more
