It feels like my stomach is full of air and its painful. Sometimes farting or burping helps ease the pain?

YouCanSurpassThatGas: Well, if you're burping and farting like a calliope I'll bet you DO have a lotta gas! So first, think about your diet. Legumes(beans), Crucifers (broccolli),Lactose (milk, ice cream, cottage cheese, sour cream, other cheeses, smoothies, etc etc), gluten (wheat, rye, barley), and "other" sensitivities unique to you. Do an elimination trial or, to keep it real simple, go on a cardboard and water diet. ...Read more

Should be fine: Activity as tolerated by pain. If the pain is severe, and there is a tender lump in the groin that won't push down with pressure, you will need to seek emergency medical attention. You will probably be fine until your appointment. Good luck! ...Read more

See your doctor>exam: Based on the limited amount of information provided it would not be possible to give you specific advise other than you should consult your physician who will take a detailed medical history and ask you specific questions to narrow down the possible causes for your condition. This, coupled with your physical exam, should lead to a diagnosis or further tests(such as endoscopy and lab tests). ...Read more

Reflux ulcer worse: There are a few things to consider with dull pain or pressure in that area. Most commonly, you may have esophageal irritation, as with acid reflux. Try TUMS or Pepcid Complete and milk, keep a diary of when it occurs and improves, and see your doc with your observations. You could also have an ulcer, or (rarely) something worse, so if it does not improve, see your doc sooner! Good luck-- ...Read more
