Reflux ulcer worse: There are a few things to consider with dull pain or pressure in that area. Most commonly, you may have esophageal irritation, as with acid reflux. Try TUMS or Pepcid Complete and milk, keep a diary of when it occurs and improves, and see your doc with your observations. Pain upper abdomen: Not knowing if this is constant or related to food your pain appears to be in the upper abdomen with referred pain to sternum , fullness and tenderness. Stomache and Gall bladder disease can occur at your age depending on weight, eating habits and lipid levels. You need to see a Gastro Enterologist and get a checkup for blood in stool, ultrasound abdomen, CT scan & upper GI studies. Good luck ...Read more

I have a sense of pressure and fullness in my uterus/lower left abdomen, sometimes painful, what is this caused by? I am 22 and I am not pregnant. It sometimes hurts during intercourse.

Your : Your symptoms could represent a few different processes. First of all you need to be checked for a UTI (urinary tract infection). Your doctor can rule this out with a simple urine test. On the other hand, you could be dealing with a vaginal/pelvic infection(bacterial, yeast, or even std). Lastly, you could be dealing with ovarian cysts or even uterine fibroids (benign tumors of the uterus). There are multiple possibilities. It might: A gynecology condition like endometriosis can sometimes be found on an appendix. Check with surgical pathology report if endometriosis was found in the specimen. Endometriosis can be associated with some of your symptoms. However, given that are 50, you may be better served with a multidisciplinary approach--seeing your gyn, pcp and GI docs for counseling. Make sure you had a colonoscopy also. ...Read more

Stooling ok?: Abdominal pain is very common in children. It can be due to infection, reflux, or related to diet. Often in this age it is due to constipation. Make sure your daughter is stooling normally. She should stool at least once a day. It should be soft. Other more serious causes are Celiac and inflammatory disease.
