Constant popping when sitting with deep breaths in upper spine. Cervical MRI showed no abnormalities. Just started out of the blue. Any ideas?

I'm 20, and i wanna use a brace to straighten up my postural kyphosis, some say it's too late. So, is it gonna work or just deform more my spine ?
Not really: When a person is still in their growing phase, a brace can be used to potentially correct an increased kyphosis. When growth is complete, this opportunity for correction is lost. A brace may hold the spine in a straightened position in an adult, but as soon as the brace is removed, the kyphosis is still there. ...Read more
Mid spine pain for 3 months. Only when bending forward. Thoracic spine X-ray shows no abnormalities. Now, what could it be?

X-rays are not all defining and sometimes other tests are more sensitive. Discuss with your doctor as sometimes bone scan or MRI will be helpful, and a decision should be made based on your history and examination. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Maybe if prolonged: If there's a major change in posture, in the long run there's also a risk for strain and pain. Prevention is best. Step one is to stop using the device so often and/or try a different one like a tablet. Next one could also consider yoga or physical/occupational therapy if primary care doctor approves. If there's a problem after stopping using the phone or tablet, then a physiatrist could be seen. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
