My Son Of 2 And Half Year Old Has Cold And Fever And Coulf
Lots of causes.: It could just be a cold, with the cough being caused by post-nasal drip. However, if his temperature is over 102.0, if he's inconsolable or poorly rousable, or if saline nose drops and suctioning don't help with the cough, he needs to be seen today to make sure he doesn't have something more severe that requires additional treatment. My 2 year old son is having cough cold n fever pain in eyes for more then a week having antibiotic, anticold n cough med but fever n cough r more ?
My 6 year old son is complaining about pain when he pees. He also has pain in his lower back. He ran two fevers. I have given him fever reducer for children. Given him colder baths and lots of water to drink.
The : The symptoms you describe could be a urinary tract infection, which is in general unusual for boys to develop, and this should be evaluated by his pediatrician. The more severe level of infection can involve the kidneys, and a kidney infection in a child could cause those issues you report, the fevers and back (or kidney/flank) pain. While it might be better with the cold baths and water, if he has an infection it should be treated with antibiotics. There might be anatomic variations that lead some children tio be at risk for developing a urinary or kidney infection, and ultimately that possibility might need to be assessed by a pediatric urologist. But initially, you should have your son examine for a possible infection, and his pediatrician can determine following that if any treatment or further examination is warranted. Importantly, kidney infections should be addressed with some urgency because repeated infections are recognized to lead to permanent injury and scarring of the kidneys, and they can lose function and suffer inrreversible damage otherwise. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What would cause my 4 year old son to shiver while not having a fever, feeling cold or having any other symptoms.
Probably OK: Sometimes people shiver because they are excited or surprised. If this is an ongoing thing and it concerns you, consider taking a video of it and showing it to the child's doctor. If he is not having any weight loss, fever, or other difficulty, it is probably ok. If it is prolonged or involves any lapse in his consciousness or involves unusual movements, it certainly merits a dr. Visit. ...Read more

Why is my autistic 5 year old son (non-verbal), all of a sudden speaking, interacting and following simple commands? He has a cold, low grade fever.
Multiple reasons: The best reason would be a developmental leap in functioning. That would be great, and you could keep doing what you're doing from a behavioral standpoint. Occasionally an alteration like casein removal can cause temporary advancement, but that disappears after a few months. This may hint at a metabolic issue if illness helps in advancement. Make sure you've seen a geneticist and metabolic expert. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Hello. My two year old son has a rash all over his body. No fever and it doesn't seem to be bothering him. However..of keeps spreading. He's already on an antibiotic but its not helping. I'm unsure what to do at this point especially with a seven month ol
Hard to know: This is a difficult scenario to evaluate without more information. Since it's not bothering him, hives are not likely. Also does not seem consistent with drug reaction. Viral rash is very typical for this time of year, and these generally affect large area. Usually occur as viral illness is resolving. Another thought: rash occurs if child with epstein-barr viral illness is treated with amoxicili ...Read more
