My Son Complains Of Chest Pain During Running Or Jumping
7 yr old son had left chest pain when running. It stops whrn he stops. More aaffected when running longer distances. What could it be?
Fast heart rate: Palpitation from fast heart rate can cause chest pain. But, this may also be from chest wall related cause or a congenital heart anomaly. A 7 yr old should not have this symptom. Please see a pediatric cardiologist for diagnosis and treatment. It is always a relief to know that nothing is serious enough to be concerned.
Docs! Help me! My 13 years old son feels left chest pain while running, He live healthy....running, exercising....does that mean he got any disease?
Unlikely: If otherwise normal, and no other symptoms, he should be fine, if that is a recurring problem please arrange to visit his doctor
My 11 year old is complaining about chest pain in the middle of his chest when running around or bouncing.
See your doctor: Could be a problem with skin, nerves, muscle, shoulder, lung, heart, or stomach. See your doctor for a more thorough history, physical exam and further evaluation. If you sleep on your stomach you could have a neck strain that radiates pain to the chest or arm. Get checked out just to make sure.
Stress testing: May be indicated...Talk to your physician.Get a more detailed answer ›
For some reason I only get stark but very brief center of chest pain when running. Not at rest. Not in other exercises (bike rides, etc). Any ideas?
Chest pain while running for about 4 minutes last night. Got EKG 2 months ago and all looked fine. It was mild and stopped after I finished running.
Info: Key to chest pain 1) Did it hurt because it was cold outside? Did you breathing hurt? 2) Oppressive chest pain? Radiation? Did it get better when you stop exercising? Has this happened before? Do you have history of Heart disease? If you are 26, and this has not happened again it is unlikely that it is cardiac in nature. A rest EKG doesn't mean much illiciting ischemia though. Cheers C
While running at high speed I experience chest pain in the lower left side. Why? I am a healthy guy with no history of heart condition.
Dizziness when exercising (aerobic)...Sob and dizziness and chest pain when running what could be the cause? Hbp tachy rt minimal lung base collapse
Chest pains: There are many causes for exertional chest pains, some are insignificant while others, such as coronary artery disease, are potentially life threatening. An evaluation by a cardiologist should be considered if your pcp is unable to confirm a non-dangerous cause.
See your doctor: This is a red flag warning that needs to be carefully evaluated to rule out any cardiac problems in your son.See 1 more doctor answer
Complains of chest pains for 2 days when running, X-ray was clear, lungs are clear. Said his eyes went blind for a second 1and Headache once today.?
Continue eval: Who is ordering the tests? ER or pediatrician? In either case, call the pediatrician to give this update. S/he may want to see him today given the new symptoms, or may have advice based on the ongoing workup, additional symptoms/exam findings and suspected diagnoses. Asthma is a consideration not diagnosed by the tests you mentioned; but there are other possibilities as well. Be vigilant.
I have an 8 yo son who is experiencing chest pain (front and back) when jumping on the trampoline. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause?
Chest pain: JJumping up and down may cause the heart to move to and fro, thereby hitting the chest wall and causing a painful sensation. This is especially true if you child has thin chest wall
I am trying to train for a 5k.Recently while running (just started)i get chest pains and palpitations (but I have p.O.T.S) my cardio gave me the ok train but I am so frustrated w/these symptoms, advice?
Not sure: You are too young to have any blockage in the arteries of heart causing chest pain. The only thing it could be is tachyarrhythmia which means your heart is abnormally running very fast. But since this doesn't happen at rest and only happens with exercise, it could be sinus tachycardia (normal phenomenon). Next time check your pulse how fast is it and whether regular or irregular.See 1 more doctor answer
I keep getting episodes with tight chest, pains in left arm/chin, sob, vomiting, weakness, sometimes tachycardia up to 170. Lifelong CP when running. Have pots. But scared cardio missed something.
Should not worry: Your symptoms sound typical for pots. Significant blockages would be very unusual at your age.See 2 more doctor answers
Maybe: If your breasts are somewhat pendulous, then this type of activity can hurt. Also depending on where you're at in your cycle may hurt as well. Make sure you have a supportive bra as that can definitely help. Some women even wear 2 bras if breasts are heavy, when they work out. If pain is localized in one spot, be sure to see a doctor. Sometimes caffeine can cause as well.
I am getting chest pain when I do activity especially jumping jacks. At rest it eventually is fine again. What is this?
Check on chest pain: Exertional chest pain is nothing to ignore! The potential origin of your symptoms includes: heart, lungs, mediastinum, esophagus, musculoskeletal, pericardium (sac around the heart), pleuritis, bronchiitis, or referred pain from a remote site. Your doctor will be concerned about accompanying fever, blood with coughing, vomiting, shortness or breath, difficulty reclining, tenderness. Get checked.See 1 more doctor answer
