My Right Knee Hurts When I Walk
My right knee hurts when I walk sometimes and a bruise appears. I have insoles, take multivitamins and not lime disease.?
Deserves evaluation: Some conditions can't be readily diagnosed online. There are many possible causes, such as chondromalacia or a torn meniscus. I do want to esp. Comment on your saying "not lyme." lyme is surprisingly common. The standard elisa screening test misses at least half the cases & even the standard western blot gives many false negatives so you could have lyme even if your test was negative. My right knee hurts when I try to walk after sitting for about 10mins, sometimes it barely carries my weight but usually eases of after 3 mins. Help?
You mean grinding.
Cartilage is the smooth gristle that allows knees to move smoothly. When it is broken, either pieces of it move around (grind, and catch) or there's no cartilage left and the bone grinds on bone. The broken bits have a better likelihood of surgery helping. If there's just no cartilage left, replacement (and you're too young) is the only really good fix. ...Read more

Fell on my knees10 wks ago. Had x-rays on my right knee. No fracture on it. It still hurts when I walk&has some numbness sometimes. Today, I danced (did some "twist dancing"&other)for about 25-30 minutes. Can the dance reinjure my knee? Pain didn't get worse
Yes but unlikely.: 10 weeks is a good enough length of time for the tendons, muscles, & cartilage off the knee to heal provided there was no tear or fracture. So the chances of RE-injuring your knee is low. Dancing can INJURE the knee (in a new way), of course. If you experience soreness or pain (anywhere- not just the knee), the 1st step for immediate treatment is to ice it - keep it cold. You can often do it daily ...Read more
My right knee hurts the back side really bad hurts wen I walk touch or rub it. What could the cause be?
Pain behind knee: When the focal area of knee pain is in the back (called the "poplieteal fossa"), one disorder to suspect is a large cyst behind the knee joint, which is known as a baker's cyst. An ultrasound test can be used to confirm this. Treatment is either wait and watch or surgical removal of the cyst. ...Read more
