My dad's right hand shakes uncontrollably at times. What could this be?

Idiopathic tremor: If it shakes when he tries to do something think about intention tremor. Also some meds can cause a tremor as well. Hope this helps :). ...Read more

My right hand often shakes or trembles. Sometimes I can make it stop if I concentrate only on that for awhile. Is something wrong or am I crazy?

No, not crazy: It is not a problem in your hand. But more likely something more general like "essential tremor" (not progressive or due to underlying disease), Parkinson's (usually at rest). Also anxiety and drug side affects can cause it. Treatment depends upon correct diagnosis for which you should see a neurologist. ...Read more

Get medical care: Those are very concerning symptoms. If someone has had a stroke they may have symptoms similar to yours. I would recommend going to a doctor tonight or to the emergency room to be checked. You don't want things to get worse and then not be able to go back and fix it. Be seen tonight. ...Read more

Since hyper-thyroidism could also be a culprit, have your doctor evaluate this. Multiple treatment options are available for all of these possibilities. ...Read more

Hi! I was wondering if you could help me. Just the past 2 day of working out with my personal trainer, my right hand begins to shake excessively.?

Right hand shaking: Hello ~ this is probably because your wrist muscles and tendons are not used to the strain. There is no age given you here and the older you are the worse it will be. The answer is to wrap the wrist in an elasticised support and then go about strengthening the wrist slowly with increasing weight stress. Tell your trainer and get him involved because next issue will be severe tenosynovitis. thx ...Read more

Right Hand Paralysis: The most likely cause - and this is very common - is that you slept on and compressed a nerve, resulting in temporary paralysis of the hand. Presumably, the temporary paralysis cleared and you have no residual symptoms. I wouldn't be concerned unless you experience ongoing problems with the hand, in which case I would immediately consult a neurologist. ...Read more
