Idiopathic tremor: If it shakes when he tries to do something think about intention tremor. Also some meds can cause a tremor as well. If it is an intention tremor have him see a hand surgeon or a neurologist as I have found low dose Propranolol quite helpful. In fact, i treated my dad's tremor successfully with it. Go see your doc: Even though you don't have numbness, you need to see a neurologist. Weakness is not a good sign. Possibilities include a stroke, carpal tunnel syndrome, cervical disc at c7....Go see your doc. ...Read more

No, not crazy: It is not a problem in your hand..But more likely something more general like "essential tremor" (not progressive or due to underlying disease), parkinson's (usually at rest). Also anxiety and drug side affects can cause it. Treatment depends upon correct diagnosis for which you should see a neurologist. ...Read more
