Symptoms : Symptoms of a heart attack are "classically" described as a pressure, heaviness or tightness on, or in the chest, and may be accompanied by shortness of breath, nausea, sweating, arm pain (usually left), neck pressure or discomfort, or none of the above. Women may be more likely to have unusual symptoms, such as shortness of breath alone, or unusual abdominal pains or breathing difficulties. Your right arm symptoms can be from a pinched nerve in the neck or armpit, and compromised nerve in the wrist area (known as "carpal tunnel syndrome"), or compromised blood flow to the arm. It is not easy to connect your back pain with the arm pain; but occasionally neck (or "cervical spine") impingements on the spinal cord nerves can cause pains to upper back, neck area, or arms. A complete history and examination with your primary health provider is the best idea to get to the bottom of this problem. ...Read more

Would my blood suger being at 290 cause my right arm to be sore and a little numb?

Another serious cause would be a type of stroke from atherosclerotic blockage of an artery in your neck or brain. My right arm is very sore and my hand is always asleep some times just half my hand is asleep. This has been going on for a week now it feels like a nerve problem. Iam 40 years old this seems to be getting worse some times its hard to close my hand

The : The ulnar nerve supplies sensation to the little finger side of your hand. The median nerve to the thumb side of your hand. These are two of the more common nerves to be affected. Common conditions are cubital tunnel, compressionof the ulnar nerve at the elbow and carpal tunnel, compression of the median nerve at the wrist, but these are not the only things that can cause a hand to fall asleep focal tingling can also represent a nerve root in the cervical splne ( your neck) or pressure on a specific nerve anywhere along the arm from shoulder down, in your axilla or armpit at the brachial plexus or furtehr on down to the nerves in your armor forearm. There are infections that can also cause tingling and sudden weakness. Swelling from an injury can also make the skin feel "numb" or less sensative to touch. If tingling or numbness is constant one should seek medical attention. Look for an orthopedic surgeon or hand surgeon in your area, or call your pcp to discuss this. ...Read more
