My mammogram report results came back birads 4 but my sonogram report came back negative so why does my doctor recommend a breast biopsy?
Because ...: If a suspicious lesion is noted on mammography an us is obtained. This allows for better definition of the lesion in the breast. However, a "negative" us does not rule out an underlying problem and the correct next step is to proceed with your physicians recommendation, in this case a biopsy. None of the imaging techniques are perfect, the final decision is based on all the information. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Radiologist noted 2.3 CM cyst alongside my esophagus and cyst in my right kidney. My regular doc told me my CT scan was normal. Really?
Kidney cyst: is a common incidental finding, usually of no clinical concern. Cyst next to esophagus not very common, if they are sure it is just a cyst it may simply be a congenital duplication cyst or other benign cyst, also probably of no significance. However, it may be worthwhile to ask your doctor about the cyst alongside the esophagus just to be sure. ...Read more

I got my USG result for my abdminal and says I have a small hyperechoic lesion visible in my right ovary measuring 3X5X6mm. Is something wrong wth me?
Your Gyn is to guide: The doctor who order ultrasound on your ovary is the best person to guide you. It is too small to worry about it right now. Unless it grows and gets bigger than 10-12 mm, I would not make much of anything out of it. A repeat study in 6 months will eliminate your anxiety as I suspect that it will either disappear or may not change any in size. Good luck ...Read more

Since 2011 my doc did not tell me my results came back as type 2 diabetic . I have all the symptoms. Now they say I'm not? My results came back normal
Confusing question: The symptoms of T2DM overlap with many other issues and are certainly not as definitive as blood tests. You seem to say you were told you did not have it and have normal test results. That would indicate your symptoms were unrelated to T2DM. If you really meant you were told you had it & now don't, celebrate. That is the goal of lifestyle changes. Most people can get T2 due to lifestyle. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I am a 50 yr. old female. my doctors office called and left me a message on my phone saying my kidney function has gotten worse. I looked up my blood?
Unclear question: Not sure what your question is. If you're asking if they can tell how your kidney function is doing by checking your blood, then yes. Also, that msg they left is very general- please call back to clarify. It can be as simple as being dehydrated on the day they took your labs, so they want to recheck. Or one of your meds may be affecting your kidneys. Or your kidneys may be slowing down. ...Read more
