My Pubic Area Hurts
Bumps in my pubic area, they hurt when I press them and a lottle of white stuff comes out of it, they are pretty big. Help please?
Folliculitis?: This is obviously some sort of bacterial infection in the skin, like folliculitis or pimples, maybe due to staph or strep. This become a lot more common in the modern era when young people shave their pubic areas. Since they are painful and large, you should see a doctor; you might need an antibiotic. Stop shaving, 4 now: Razor-bumps result from shaving/cutting the hair too short, thus causing the hair to get stuck under the skin causing the bumps. Basically these are trapped hair follicles. Use of some exfoliating skin lotion/cream may help the trapped hair to come through to surface and thus resolve the bumps. So, stop shaving too closely will reduce this. Could be: If it's an area you have shaved it's more likely. Take a nice hot bath, then pat dry the area and let it heal. If still worried please go see your doctor. ...Read more
