Stop shaving, 4 now: Razor-bumps result from shaving/cutting the hair too short, thus causing the hair to get stuck under the skin causing the bumps. Basically these are trapped hair follicles. Use of some exfoliating skin lotion/cream may help the trapped hair to come through to surface and thus resolve the bumps. So, stop shaving too closely will reduce this. Laser/electrolysis is expensive, but no bumps! Good luck. ...Read more

Bumps in my pubic area, they hurt when I press them and a lottle of white stuff comes out of it, they are pretty big. Help please?
Folliculitis?: This is obviously some sort of bacterial infection in the skin, like folliculitis becoming boils, maybe due to staph or strep. This is a lot more common recently when many young people shave the pubic area. Since they are painful and large, you should see a doctor; you might need an antibiotic. In the meantime, no shaving for a while. Don't worry about STDs, which don't behave this way. ...Read more

My primary Dr pulled down my pants, exposing my pubic area, and asked me to cough while laying on my back. He didn't touch me but why do it? I'm Female
And the reason...: And the reason for being at the doctor's was what? Men and women can have a hernia, which can be pushed out by bearing down (as if pushing out a big firm poop). A cough probably is too short to push out a hernia to see, but a finger up either side of the scrotum can sometimes feel a hernia without seeing it. Women can get a hernia in the same area, but are much less likely to have it than men are. ...Read more
