Cleanup after bm is very hard. Stool is brown, soft and formed. However always seems to be a lot to wipe and is mostly gathered at top of crack.Ideas?

Probably need fiber: If your stool looks normal in color and consistency, you probably just need more fiber in your diet along with lots of water. I recommend something like metamucil or it's equivalent on a daily basis. ...Read more

Other Sx ???: The breast fed baby can have a small watery smear of poo every feeding or a giant crib filler poo every 7-10 days & be normal. 2 MONTH OLD CONSTIPA: You did not say if he is breast fed or bottle fed.The stools in brest fed babies can vary from stool everytime you feed the baby, from loose to pellets, which is all normal.In bottle fed babies they can also have stools like you described, if the baby is happy and not irritable and feeding well, i will advice to let nature take its course and reassurance and just observation is all thats needed. ...Read more

Diet change : The most common thing to cause changes in what comes out is a change in what goes in. It could be intentional or just because of changes in your schedule, travel, or the season but the amount and type of liquids and fiber you are consuming makes a huge difference in your bowel movements.
