Im 15weeks pregnant and the doctor just found out that my placenta is covering my cervix? When does it move?

Can be normal: At 15 weeks gestations, a lot of women have placentas that cover their cervix. Likely your doctor recommended that you and your significant other refrain from intercourse or orgasm. Sometimes, as the uterus grows, the placenta 'gets out of the way' as it were. Sometimes not. You'll likely have a formal obstetrical ultrasound at 18-20 weeks, check then to see if still previa. Good luck! ...Read more

I got told my levels were now below 2.. And everything is fine. Does that mean there is still hCG in blood. I think im ovulating however?

I got told my levels were now below 2.. And everything is fine. Does that mean there is still hCG in blood. I think im ovulating however?

hcg levels: Hcg levels below 10 are consistent with not being pregnant, even men can have very low levels of hcg, so having a level below 2 is a negative pregnancy test and ovulation can happen. If you get a new pregnancy then the levels of HCG will go up again. Hcg is not a contraceptive and does not prevent ovulation. ...Read more

I had my pap today and the dr said my cervix is deep. What does that mean and will it cause fertility problems?

cervix position: To do a pap test, the provider needs to see the cervix which is the opening to the uterus, the uterus can flex forward or backward making the cervix found in different positions in the vagina. The cervix is attached to the top of the vagina hence it can be found "deep". Often women who have pushed out babies have a low cervix/ uterus. Doctor said that my placenta is attached near to my cervix. Is that means i can have placenta previa? Is that means c-section? I'm only 5months.

Too soon: At 5 months, it's too soon to say if your placenta will still be attached near your cervix when you are near to term. I did blood work and the results were that my alkaline phosphatase was 128 when the normal was 39-117. What does that mean? Should i be worried?

No, not to worry: Alkaline phosphatase is not a very reliable test unless there is something seriously wrong with the liver.
