My Ovary Had Something That Sounds Like A Fibroadenoma Should I Be Worried

I had a breast mammogram and ultra sound in august 2013. Then a biopsy for a fibroadenoma which proved not cancerous. Did a follow up routine mammogram and worried cause doctor ask to see me next week?
Difficult to: Speculate, it may or may not involve the area previously biopsied. If you are very worried, call your doctor and ask what he/she is concerned about. Otherwise you will get an answer at your appointment. Most of the time these recalls turn out to be nothing of concern. ...Read more
Hi in September I found a lump in my breast I have since went to the doctor had an mammogram and ultra sound and was told I had a fibroadenoma and fibrocystic breast and to get daily check ups every since months but I have been having back pain regularly
Ultra sound on my ovaries clear but they discovered a small cyst on my right kidney. I'm told its a common finding at 55 but I'm so worried. Thanks.
What would cause me to feel like I have pulled a musle near my ovaries? I know it sounds strange but I've had it for a week and a half now.
Testing a good idea:
I am sure that the Dr. Has noted some signs that lead he/she to recommend PCOS testing. Ultrasound of the ovaries along with hormonal testing is a good idea and will give the Dr. The answers to his/her clinical impression. To start treatment now will positively impact your health now and later if you do in fact have this syndrome (PCOS) ...Read more
Had a small cist on my ovary months ago havnt been back 2get scan 2 see if it has gone. Had no pain or nothing should I go back to get a ultra sound?
Yes: Your doctor ordered it for a reason. Just because the one cyst is gone, there may be more, and there may be other things that need a second look. Following a logical course (which this is) is in your best interest. ...Read more
My ultra sound report. Endometrium 11 mm. And left ovary is enlarged wid thin walled rounded eyst of size 34mm. S/o functional eyst. What does it mean?
Ovarian cyst: It is normal for a small cyst to develop on the ovaries from time to time. Ovarian cysts are quite common in women during their reproductive years and may be a single cyst or many cysts. Most cysts are benign and only require monitoring. Most are cysts which develops from tissue that changes in the normal process of ovulation. They usually disappear within 6-8 weeks. ...Read more
Had ultra sound 3 times on my ovary. Left always very enlarged, but no cysts. It's causing discomfort, as I can feel it. What could this be?
My right ovary is sized 4.0 and 2.6 and the ultra sound report says that its small I want to know the possible diseases which it can cause and cure?
Small?: The average size of human pre-menopausal womans ovary is generaly about 3cm x 2cm x 1 cm. So, perhaps the use of the word 'small' was intended to be compared with large. Sounds normal to me. Small ovaries are associated with many different conditions, so you might ask the person who ordered the test what they were looking for. ...Read more
I had an ultra sound for cysts on my ovary and they found 5 spots on my liver what could that be?
A little more detail on the spots found on the liver can narrow down the possibilities.
A collection of blood vessels (hemangiomas) can sometimes be identified on ultrasound.
Alternatives include fluid filled cysts such as liver cysts, parasitic infections (echinoccocus infections) etc.
Talk to your physician for appropriate evaluation. ...Read more
I had a pelvic ultra sound in jan., 2014 and my ovaries were good, does this mean they are still good.
No.: A normal US then does not guarantee anything now, but it would be quite unusual for something to suddenly happen to your ovaries which have been "normal" up until 10 months ago. Not sure why anyone was looking at your ovaries - you must have had symptoms which prompted a look. You should discuss this with your doc. ...Read more
Had cyst removed from right ovary along with my about a year ago, but now am experiencing pain on my left side. Ultra sound good should I worry?
Other cause: There are several causes for left lower quadrant pain besides ovarian cysts. If you are still having pain, return to your doctor for further work up. ...Read more
Normal doppler: This is a normal finding showing blood flow around the ovary. The color confirms flow by the ultrasound. If there was no blood flow the concern for a twisted, torsion, ovary would be high particularly if you were having pain. ...Read more

My doc just told me I have a cyst on my ovary...I need to get another ultra sound in 5 weeks...should I be concerned or is this pretty common?
Very common: Cysts form every time you ovulate. Sometimes they don't go away. When they get large they can cause problems (torsion). That is the reason we follow them. ...Read more

Hi, I was told I have a cyst on my right ovary, should I be concern that it hurts. Doctor said from the ultra sound I was fine. So why does it hurt?
Is it common for women to have scar tissue on their ovaries after a hysterectomy? I was told this after ultra sound was normal. The pain bothers me: (
Trans vaginal ultra sound showed left ovary was ready to ovulate..... What does that mean and how is it shown on ultrasound.?
Follicle: Each month you produce egg cysts called follicles. Your ultrasound like showed a left sided dominant follicle of the right size or showed evidence of recent ovulation (fluid around the left ovary with collapsing cyst wall). When I had more fertility patients, I often got reports from ultrasounds saying the same thing. ...Read more
I was diagnosed with pcos awhile back, when I did the ultra sound again, it showed no evidence of polycystic ovaries. Is that possible?
PCOS: Pcos should be diagnosed by more than just an ultrasound. Many times patients also have irregular menstrual cycles and elevated hormones like testosterone or signs of unwanted hair growth and/or acne. There are many aspects to the diagnosis. You might consider seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. ...Read more

My doctor suspects endometriosis or twisting of my left ovary (ultra sound shows no cysts). What are the distinct differences in those two things?
Difference: Endometriosis is the spread of endometrial tissue from beyond the inside of the uterus into different parts of the abdomen and pelvis. This tissue "menstruates" along with a typical cycle, which can causes enormous pain. Ovarian torsion is the twisting of the ovary (and its vascular supply) along its axis, which can starve the ovary of blood and cause pain. ...Read more
I was just diagnosed with a normal 1.7cm ovarian cyst on my right ovary via ultra sound. Is it safe if it ruptures?
Sort of...: It can be very painful as the abdomen does not like any other fluid in it! Not blood (why a tiny amount of endometriosis is so painful), and not cyst fluid. Might be smart to talk to doc about emergency pain meds in case you have to come to the er. It also depends on the cyst-it could have just been a ruptured follicle. If you ever get severe low abdominal pain, go to er-let them know it's there. ...Read more
Can hormone levels be normal, but drs think you have pcos by seeing 2 big cyst on ovary, maybe enometromas (low echo sounds) 6 and 8 cm.
Possible, but...: Only doctors who are very confused would think 6 and 8 cm. Cysts mean you have pcos. Cysts that large are always abnormal, endometriomas are a possibility. I hope you have followup with your doctor for this. ...Read more
A friend (33 f) ate 50 grams of ground flaxseed 3 weeks ago still has GI tract sounds, gas, mild pain around ovaries that comes and goes. Unrelated?
Co-incidence: This is almost certainly a co-incidence. While some people do get some gas and bloating when first adding flax seeds to their diets, I would expect any reaction like that to last 2-3 days at most. I can't think of any mechanism that would cause these symptoms 3 weeks later. See http://www. Whfoods. Com/genpage. Php? Tname=foodspice&dbid=81 for more on flax seeds. ...Read more
