My Newborn Is Weazing
Yes: This is normal. Most of this is likely true feeding and necessary but some babies will use breastfeeding s a pacifier. Essentially true feeding is vigorous and consistent. Suck, suck, breath... Pacifying feeding is 30-40 minutes later and more like suck, snooooooooze, suck, snoooooze. During this phase of feeding baby isnt eating, just pacifying. That feeding can be stopped. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Don't worry, normal: Most newborns seem to cross their eyes a bit, partly because their eye muscles and coordination are not as well developed, and partly it just looks that way because a newborn's eyes are bigger in proportion to the rest of their face. This usually goes away by around 3 months of age. If it happens a lot or you feel very worried, have her pediatrician take a look. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My new born baby is formula fed his poop was always yellow now my baby is 1month old and his poop is green is something wrong? Why the color change?
My 3 month old baby randomly sucks when nothing is in his mouth?? And is drooling a lot, what can this mean?
Self soothing: Babies are driven to suck as a survival tool. If they didn't, they wouldn't learn to feed as a newborn when they have never experienced hunger-ever. Sucking is rewarded by pleasure sensations in the brain, and an infant with few capabilities can turn to it for pleasure at any time while awake (& partly asleep). It is why nail biting, gum chewing and smoking are difficult habits to break. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My 2 month old is extremely squirmy during feedings. He is hungry, but almost fights me when I give him the formula. Is this a sign of reflux?
Perhaps: If your baby is developing " aversive" symptoms to feeding, turning her head, pushing away the bottle, yet still seems hungry, i want to see her immediately for a thorough history and physical exam. If persistent emesis and weight loss exist, this is additional cause for concern. This could be anything from reflux, to serious heart disease. My 2 year old self harms. She picks and scratches her skin til it bleeds. Is this normal? She is a twin.
Mostly NOT: Please make sure that she is very clean...Use mild soaps/ and emolients[soothing creams and lotions]. If she has freq.Sniffles/asthma like symptoms, that could be a hint, for the underlying ''allergy" problems. Ask her pediatrician, about daily use of prescription (mild) allergy meds, and she might even need 'allergy' testing... [psychological problems for this condition...Is the last thing ]. ...Read more
My baby boy is 5 year old when he has cold my little daughter is 10 months old is also affected wich is very bad because she is very senstive ?
Yes: Certainly a younger child is more prone to get sicker with an illness all other factors being equal. A smaller child has smaller airways, smaller reserve. Therefore an ounce of prevention is worth more than a lb of cure! Try to keep your 5 y/o away from the baby when the 5 y/o is sick. Is it normal for 1 year old and 2 month baby s fontanel to close because my nephew s fontanel is already closed and is it effect tooth formation?
That is normal: The frontal fontanel is typically completely closed by 18-24 months, but often feels hard/sealed by your fingers by around 1 yr, some a bit earler, some later. During routine infant exam, docs/nurses check this and so if baby has been growing, developing normally, without concern from his doc, i believe he is well/normal. Watch him do wonderful stuffs as he grows! enjoy and good luck. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Not normal: Increased hunger cues in a breast fed baby suggests inadequate milk production (as indicated by less than 5 wet diapers in 24 hours, or weight gain less than 1oz per day), poor latching technique with inefficient intake, or comfort nursing from pain (from acid reflux, etc.). ...Read more
