Torticollis: Neck not aligned with head can be due to different causes, as sitting or sleeping in unusual position, poor posture looking at computer screen neck trauma or spine problems or muscle spasm, can also be due to medications side effect.

It may be normal: It is most reassuring that you don't say that the gland (s) you are feeling are tender, painful, firm, overlying skin red, etc. So the key is, how big are walnuts and submandibular glands supposed to be...it appears the range in size is similar. A walnut is about an inch in diameter. Normal submandibular glands are 22 mm +/- 5 mm. An inch is 2.54 cm or 25.4 mm, so I think all is good. Stay well. ...Read more
