Don't jump!: To conclusions - it will make you hurt worse. ;-) fibromyalgia is not a good premature dx. Only after all sorts of minor through major alternatives are discarded will that be the call. Since it is so hard to deal with, that is good news too. If you have no idea of why you hurt the way you do, see a doctor or chiropractor to help evaluate the situation. ...Read more

Muscle relaxants: Lyrica (pregabalin) is more of a nerve blocking agent for treatment of the fibromyalgia. If you have concomitant muscle spasms, perhaps a muscle relaxant will help with those symptoms (eg. Flexeril, robaxin, Soma or even baclofen) just be careful due to the increased drowsiness side-effect of both medications, which may increase dramatically if used together. ...Read more
