Peripheral neuropath: If it's just your thighs & legs and not the rest of you, then i guess i'm not going to worry too much about (pre)menopause but rather focus on peripheral neuropathy. Both thighs & legs? If so, less likely to be due to post-herpetic neuralgia or spinal cord damage. Vitamin deficiency, especially b12, is linked to peripheral neuropathy. So is poorly controlled diabetes. Go see your family doctor! ...Read more

A banana a day will not cream your weight cutting, there is a fine balance between weight cutting and dehydration and at 16 years old, watch your health (i know wrestlers everywhere are groaning....). ...Read more

I have 4 children and by the time it's 10pm my legs ache in pain and i take ibruofen every night?

Not good: Too much Ibuprofen is associated with heart damage. Have you tried stretching over the course of the day. This may relieve some of the leg pain at night. See a physical therapist or find some good leg stretching exercises on the internet. The easiest is putting your leg up on a chair and leaning, not bending forward. Also try getting down on one knee and leaning forward. Do these for ten seconds. ...Read more

Thigh muscle: The muscles in the front of the thigh include the medial and lateral as well as the middle thigh muscles. With pain in this location we need to have an evaluation of your hip, the other muscles of the anterior thigh such as the psoas muscles. Calf pain: if you have abnormal swelling, Left side bigger than the right, and pain it is possible you may have a DVT (deep venous thrombosis). Varicose veins?: If the ache is most noticeable when you have been on your feet for an especially long time during the day, varicose veins could certainly be one of the possible causes for your symptoms. If you have some very prominent visible veins, it is worth it to see a vein specialist/phlebologist. If you have some visible veins that aren't very prominent, you might want to try compression stockings. ...Read more

A few times I've had a dull ache develop in my legs on weekends when I'm inactive, but it subsides once I become active. No swelling. Should I worry?

Don't worry!: If there's no swelling and it subsides with activity, I wouldn't worry. Clots produce swelling, almost always on one side only. And the symptoms wouldn't improve with activity. If it continues, talk to your doctor about checking your electrolytes like potassium, and looking for other sources of pain. ...Read more
