My Leg Lump
I have a medium to small lump right above the left side of my ankle on my left leg. It is not painful at all. Any ideas of what it is?
I have a medium: It could be a cyst which is filled with fluid and can happen after an injury or almost jello type tissue if you have had it for a while or a lipoma, that consists of fatty tissue , both cause no problems. However, if the lump is getting bigger or is not going away, best to see a podiatrist or a surgeon , get an ultrasound and/or an MRI to find exactly what it is. ...Read more
Was told I have inflammation of cells also have faint red streak going down my leg with lump and pain. Could it be something else?
One month before i was playing cricket a ball hit to my leg. then a lump appeared there what should i do?
Leg injury: If it is just a lump with no pain then it is just a hematoma. If the swelling is in your knee/ankle joint and you have difficulty with movement, then this needs to be evaluated by a physician for any ligament injury. Overtime, this lump should get smaller, given that it persists for over a month, you need to have it examined by a physician to be certain it is nothing sinister. ...Read more

I have hemihypertrophy on my right leg. One lump on knee two on right side of leg. Searing pain in calf plus pitting edema in ankle. Is this urgent?
Could be serious.: Hemihypertrophy can mean a difference in length of the leg as well as girth of the leg. If you have suddenly noticed a difference in girth with searing calf pain and pitting edema, you need to go to the ER immediately because of the possibility of a blood clot. I believe in playing it safe since failure to treat could have devastating consequences. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

See a doctor.: It seems that you've suffered a traumatic injury. It may be simply a bad bruise, but i wonder if you've experienced something more serious like a tendon injury or rupture. What's your question: "lump in top of [my] leg" could be due to many things. If you're describing groin area where thigh joints pelvis, this might be a hernia or swollen lymph node (gland). Hematoma or bleeding could do this. Infection, too, even abscess, if red & painful. Severely broken bone but i think you'd have a pretty good idea of that. Hives? But those are temporary & itchy. Pain? Go see your family doc. ...Read more
