No need for fear: Have the symptoms gotten worse over 3 months? If you've not had a doctor look at you then, this would be a good time. Cause may be unknown: Twitching inside a facial muscle, which happens in normal people, is called myokymia (an involuntary, spontaneous, quivering of a few muscle cell bundles in a muscle). Myokymia starts and stops spontaneously. It can last a few minutes to a few days. Stress? i don't know: That all those things could be due to stress is possible but far-fetched. Your symptoms are very suggestive of drug side effects, especially Depakote. If you are taking any major presciption drugs, start there. If you're not or stopping your meds doesn't eliminate the symptoms, you need to be worked up for metabolic, autoimmune or other conditions. DON'T stop any meds without supervision by an MD. ...Read more

Local eye irritation can also add to this, such as dry eye, allergy, and blepharitis (eyelid infection, inflammation). Eyestrain and excessive reading can contribute.
