No need for fear: Have the symptoms gotten worse over 3 months? If you've not had a doctor look at you then, this would be a good time. But, beware--- they're liable to find you to be fit as a fiddle. The fact is most people with these symptoms are quite fine. 4 yrs ago i was diagnosed with bells palsy on the right side of my face. Now the left side of my forehead above my left eye is twitching. Why?
Cause may be unknown: Twitching inside a facial muscle, which happens in normal people, is called myokymia (an involuntary, spontaneous, quivering of a few muscle cell bundles in a muscle). Myokymia starts and stops spontaneously. It can last a few minutes to a few days. One should see her primary care doctor, or an eye/ear/neurology doctor, if symptoms persist, keep recurring, or are combined with any other symptoms. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My left eye is twitching like crazy, my hair is falling out, severe headaches, and my mouth tastes like iron. Any ideas? How can I lower my stress?
Stress? i don't know: That all those things could be due to stress is possible but far-fetched. Your symptoms are very suggestive of drug side effects, especially Depakote. If you are taking any major presciption drugs, start there. If you're not or stopping your meds doesn't eliminate the symptoms, you need to be worked up for metabolic, autoimmune or other conditions. DON'T stop any meds without supervision by an MD. ...Read more

Five days ago I started have slight twitching on my left eye. The twitching seems to have subsided but area feels a little tight. Mini stroke?
Not likely stroke: Eyelid myokymia (twitching) is most commonly associated with ocular dryness, & occasionally with excessive caffeine, stress, blepharitis. A stroke affecting the eyelid would cause you to lose eyelid function (eyelid droop, possibly with double vision). Try artificial tears to see if improves comfort & lessens twitching. See your MD if not benefitting. ...Read more

Several causes: Eyelid twitching is very common, and often occurs from stress, fatigue, lack of sleep, and overuse of stimulants such as caffeine and decongestants. Local eye irritation can also add to this, such as dry eye, allergy, and blepharitis (eyelid infection, inflammation). Eyestrain and excessive reading can contribute. Try reducing the stress/stimulant factors, and get an eye exam for the other causes. ...Read more
I have sharp one minute pains around the left temple multiples times a day and smell roses randomly. Should i seek help? The pain is intense but only lasts a short while, but it happens often. When it does my left eye sometimes twitches. I don't know if
Based : Based on your description, you should seek the advice of a neurologist. The reasoning is that the symptoms you describe could be related to partial complex seizures. If so, the smell of roses can be an aura although they are more commonly unpleasant smells such as blood, garbage... Other auras that you may want to note for the neurologist would include: depersonalization (feeling like you are not a part of yourself) autoscopy (feeling like you are outside your body looking in) epigastric rising (feeling like your stomach is rising up in your chest) hot or cold sensation running up or down your body dizziness or vertigo whiule pain can be associated with seizures, of course it would be more common in migraine. Your eye twitching can be related but is more commonly due to stress, caffeine... Good luck and well wishes. ...Read more
