See Opthalmologist: causes of burning in the inside corner of eye could be related to allergies, infections (including viral, bacterial) and trauma/scratch . I assume you used OTC eye lubricant drops. If burning continues, see your MD or Opthalmologist to check for infection or corneal abrasion. When I get angry or stressed my left eye hurts and my skin under my left eye burns and become red... Is it high eye pressure? Is it sign of glacoma?

Avoid allergens: Sounds like allergy. Is it posdible you recently rubbed something in this area that you are allergic too. Avoid itching area. Avoid makeup. Was hands (often have allergens). Probably dry eye: This is most common when first waking up and the blurry vision is temporary. Artificial tears over the counter will help. Make sure it does NOT contain any redness or itching reliever in it. Just a pure lubricating drop. Use this through out the day and when waking up. Generally 3-4x/day. Dry eye is very common. All connected : If you get out an anatomy picture of your head you will see that your throat, nasal passages, and eye sockets are all connected.
