My Left Calf Lump
I have a medium to small lump right above the left side of my ankle on my left leg. It is not painful at all. Any ideas of what it is?
I have a medium: It could be a cyst which is filled with fluid and can happen after an injury or almost jello type tissue if you have had it for a while or a lipoma, that consists of fatty tissue , both cause no problems. However, if the lump is getting bigger or is not going away, best to see a podiatrist or a surgeon , get an ultrasound and/or an MRI to find exactly what it is. ...Read more
I get a painful lump in my left calf while getting up in the morning. It disappears almost immediately but some pain remains there. What is it?

My son is a dancer and noticed a couple of lumps on his left calf and another one on his right calf. Could this be a herniated muscle?
Get seen: Your physician can tell whether these are ganglion cysts or something more worrisome. ...Read more
Just discovered a painful, small lump near the bottom of my left calf. No ins. Need advice. Only painful when touched. Not visible. Ideas?
Cyst: If it is not visible, then most likely it's not inflammatory, because those are red, hot, swollen, itchy. Ganglion cysts (cysts located on the tendons) are by far the most common cause of otherwise not painful lumps unless touched. They are smooth surfaced, firm, mobile. They are benign and sometimes may disappear, although, at times may grown and cause even more pain due to compression. ...Read more
I just recently started having a sharp stabbing pain in my left calf. The pain lasts for a few seconds and now there's a lump what could it be?
Muscle pull: We're always concerned with blood clots when we see calf pain, but this does not sound like one since you dont mention redness, swelling or tenderness. My best guess given the supplied info is either a pulled or partially torn gastrocnemius (resulting in a palpable lump) or possibly a soft tissue mass giving you nerve pain. "lumps" should never b ignored. See your doctor and have it checked. ...Read more
I have two red smooth pea size lumps on the back of my left calf. Present for ~10 years. They only bleed and itch if I catch them whilst shaving.
Obviously not: Cancerous . I would not worry as you have had them for so long. They may be HemangiomaIs but really impossible to diagnose any lesion without direct observation ...Read more
Small lump on my upper left calf on the inside. Noticed a few weeks ago when it hurt one night. Not really painful unless I feel it. Bruises easy.
Cyst: May be a little cyst that has had bleeding into it due to contusion. I would leave it alone and if it does not disappear let a physician have a look at it ...Read more
