My Knee Burns When I Kneel
I have a burning pain near my knee when I kneel. It is on the lateral side, and it burns/stings so much that I have to lift my knee immediately.?
Patellar pressure: I agree with dr hadied, but since you feel this when you kneel this suggests pre-patellar bursitis. This is the bursa on top of the kneecap. Sometimes this bursa can swell and even get infected. Burning is a little unusal symptom, usually it is pain. Burning could be due to an effect on the nerves around the knee. Do both knes burn, or just one side. ...Read more

My girfreind is having pain behind her knee at the caf muschle it burns sometimes and hurts what could it be?
The area behind the knee has lots of structures, such as various muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and fluid filled sacs called "bursa". It's possible that in inflammation of the bursa "bursitis" is rubbing on the tibial nerve causing the pain. If this is the case, rest and ice (nore more than 15 minutes at a time) can help, as well as ibuprophen if you can take it.
A doc can evaluate further. ...Read more
The injury to my right knee constantly burns & on the inside is a knot approx the size of a 50 cent piece. I also get sharp, intense pain in this area?
I need to ask a question what's wrong with my knee it burns so much like a knife stabbing? Could it be the meniscus? Please help
One possibility: Stabbing pain can be caused by a meniscus tear among other causes. I have seen you ask several questions this week relating to meniscus tears and your knee. You should discuss this with your orthopaedic surgeon and if you are not satisfied don't hesitate to seek a second opinion. It is your knee and you have a right to understand why it hurts and treatment options available. ...Read more

How long does friction burns to the knee take to heal? Also they did bleed. And I'm using savalon healing gel
If the wound base is pink and reddish, then probably 1-2 weeks. If the wound base is white, then the abrasion might be deeper, 2-3 weeks. You can wash the area with soap and water and apply an antibiotic ointment to the area, and cover with a dressing. It'll heal faster.
If it doesn't heal after 2 weeks, you should go see your doctor. ...Read more
Pain in the right leg that goes and goes, sometimes on the side, sometimes in the groin. Burns behind the knee and gets worse with cold. What can be?
Bursitis v. tendon: Your symptoms could describe bursitis (inflammation of the bursal fat pad underneath many tendon insertions) or tendonitis (inflammation of the tendon itself. Both stem from extreme use/overuse of the affected area. Inflammation is the pathological process. When I squat, the top of my knee cap burns. Also, when I lightly touch my knee cap it feels numb. There's no discoloration?
Patellar symptoms: It sounds like you have symptoms at your patella (knee cap). Many young patients have what's called chondromalacia, which refers to worn cartilage behind the patella - this can usually be treated with simple physical therapy. It's also possible to have bursitis (swelling/inflammation) right over the patella, and patellar tendonitis is also possible. See a physician if symptoms persist. ...Read more
I sprained my knee, yes I do wear a brace, but even if I'm not wearing it my knee hurts and burns a lot when I walk on it or when I bend?
Needs evaluation: Knee pain is tricky especially if you are young and athletic. Although breaking bones can happen usually it is the soft structures like the cartilage, the ligaments, the tendons that can cause pain when bending and extending. I would suggest a face to face exam. Your doctor can then recommend the proper test which may include an X ray or an MRI. Good luck. ...Read more
