My Head Sprain
I recently attempted to move a heavy object using my head and sprained my neck. My neck hurt for a few hours but went away. Now when I turn my head a certain direction I feel tingling in the back of my head connecting down to my neck. What could this be?
Get evaluated: Symptoms of nerve damage can range from a numbness and tingling sensation, possibly a burning sensation, to an uncomfortable painful sensation of the extremities. For some, these symptoms are mild, while for others, they can be severe and disabling. Neuropathy can develop as a result of a pinched nerve, trauma, drug side effect, and some diseases such as diabetes. See your physician. ...Read more

Y does my upper neck/ lower head always hurt like a little sprain and always has a teary cracking sound wen I turn my head right around??? : (
Snap, Crackle, Pop!: You might have a touch of arthritis in your neck that leads to that crunchy sound ('crepitations') in your neck when you twist it. That in turn could lead to some reactive muscle tightness. In some people it gets so bad it leads to a headache. Usually some x-rays help see if there's arthritis in there. The treatment involves medication, massage, range of motion exercises, proper posture and rest. ...Read more
I have issues withmy ankle. It pops everytime I walk. I move it slighty wrong and it sprains. Could that be serious. Or is it in my head?
Tendon instability: If you are truly having a great deal of pain when this happens, this may be the result of the tendons in the back of the ankle (usually on the outside of the ankle) moving abnormally and sliding against the outside bone in your ankle (the fibula) abnormally. These tendons are called the peroneal tendons. This problem sometimes needs to be corrected surgically and should be evaluated by a doctor. ...Read more

Headache that affects my eyes, sprains at the back of my head, my head gets hot at times, blurred vision, dizziness & confusion sometimes. Help pls?
After a neck sprain strain from a gym machine. I can't move 2right it hurts when I walk move my head to right when I sleep. Ice it? Rest it? Week off?
Yes: For a neck sprain after a workout, I do think it would be reasonable to try conservatively with time/observation, ice, anti-inflammatories, and gentle stretches/rom. If your symptoms are persistent after a week or two, or if the pain is really severe, or if there is associated radiation of the pain into your arm or weakness/numbness/tingling in your arm, then I would advise seeing a physician. ...Read more
Could I have a concussion? Fell last week and sprained ankle, have had balance problems since. Noticed head is sore. Been sleeping a lot.
Yes: If you hit your head or had a rapid "whiplash" type mechanism during your fall, then you could have a concussion. Headache, fatigue, dizziness, balance problems, light & noise sensitivity, memory or concentration problems are the most common post-concussion symptoms. Brain & body rest are the keys to recovery in the first 1-2 weeks. No activities now that could result in another blow to the head. ...Read more

Coban wrappd finger4 reinjury sprain. Used cream&did massage&stretch 1mth. Now skin looks crepy&dermal ridges seem stretched/enlarged. Permanent? What 2do
Unlikely Permanent: Coban was not designed to be used for more than a few minutes as a pressure dressing. Using it for several day (even an hour or several hours) could permanently damage the circulation and cause the loss of a finger. Since your finger has not been removed, the things you are notcing are unlikely to be permanent. Moisture or cream under the coban could cause the symptoms noted, bur will be normal. ...Read more

2 weeks after an ankle sprain. I can stand on toes of that foot and swelling is down to 20%, but stinging pain when I touch the skin in front of talus?
Low ankle sprain: It sounds like you are recovering from a low ankle sprain. The pain you experience in the front of the ankle is most likely your anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) which is still healing. Ankle injury: With ankle injuries, bones are only one level of concern. We also have to worry about the ligaments which are most commonly injured during an ankle sprain and will not show up on plain film x-rays. I would recommend that you immobilize the limb as much as possible and consult with your closest podiatrist. An MRI of the best in order to rule out soft tissue injuries. Good luck! ...Read more
What causes a strained muscle feeling at the top behind the eye and occasional pain on movement? The strained sensation is like the burning of an ankle sprain. I also have dry eyes and apparently no abrasions.
Eye or Sinus: Does your eye look irritated or red, especially underneath the upper eyelid? If so, you may have a type of inflammatory surface reaction called superior limbic keratitis. If the eye looks normal, then the problem may be an inflamed eye muscle (orbital myositis), or sinus infection (there are sinuses on all sides of the eye socket except the outer side, and sinus pain can feel like eye pain) ...Read more
