My Head Sprain
I recently attempted to move a heavy object using my head and sprained my neck. My neck hurt for a few hours but went away. Now when I turn my head a certain direction I feel tingling in the back of my head connecting down to my neck. What could this be?
Pinched nerve: Sounds like you have a cervical radiculopathy or a pinched nerve when you strained your neck you may have injured the muscles and irritated the nerve that comes off the side of your neck I would rest, use ice and nsaids see your doctor if it doesn't start to improve.See 1 more doctor answer
-R used interchangeably. They refer 2 injuries 2 mucles & ligaments. 3 degrees: 1=tweaked or hurts but no harm no foul, 2=damage 2 the structure with some bleeding & prolonged pain, but with ice, time, rest, & activity modification they heal over a few weeks, 3=a complete disruption such as an ACL tear. If this happens in a muscle body, there's no repair available, painful, ...Read more
Rolled my ankle at roller derby practice. Sharp pain 'inside' my ankle only when I flex my foot up towards my head and 'in.' Sprain?
Y does my upper neck/ lower head always hurt like a little sprain and always has a teary cracking sound wen I turn my head right around??? : (
Snap, Crackle, Pop!: You might have a touch of arthritis in your neck that leads to that crunchy sound ('crepitations') in your neck when you twist it. That in turn could lead to some reactive muscle tightness. In some people it gets so bad it leads to a headache. Usually some x-rays help see if there's arthritis in there. The treatment involves medication, massage, range of motion exercises, proper posture and rest.
I have issues withmy ankle. It pops everytime I walk. I move it slighty wrong and it sprains. Could that be serious. Or is it in my head?
Tendon instability: If you are truly having a great deal of pain when this happens, this may be the result of the tendons in the back of the ankle (usually on the outside of the ankle) moving abnormally and sliding against the outside bone in your ankle (the fibula) abnormally. These tendons are called the peroneal tendons. This problem sometimes needs to be corrected surgically and should be evaluated by a doctor.See 1 more doctor answer

I flipped chair in nurse station charting, I hit floor on bottom, chair hit back of my head hard. NP said contusion and lumbar sprain? Head still foggy
Contusion: Sorry for your accident. After even a mild concussion do not do activities that can compromise your health and cause further head injury. Avoid tasks that require concentration or complicated thinking. Follow up appointments are very important. Also follow the advice of your health care provider. Be well.See 1 more doctor answer
Headache that affects my eyes, sprains at the back of my head, my head gets hot at times, blurred vision, dizziness & confusion sometimes. Help pls?
After a neck sprain strain from a gym machine. I can't move 2right it hurts when I walk move my head to right when I sleep. Ice it? Rest it? Week off?
Yes: For a neck sprain after a workout, I do think it would be reasonable to try conservatively with time/observation, ice, anti-inflammatories, and gentle stretches/rom. If your symptoms are persistent after a week or two, or if the pain is really severe, or if there is associated radiation of the pain into your arm or weakness/numbness/tingling in your arm, then I would advise seeing a physician.See 1 more doctor answer
Could I have a concussion? Fell last week and sprained ankle, have had balance problems since. Noticed head is sore. Been sleeping a lot.
Yes: If you hit your head or had a rapid "whiplash" type mechanism during your fall, then you could have a concussion. Headache, fatigue, dizziness, balance problems, light & noise sensitivity, memory or concentration problems are the most common post-concussion symptoms. Brain & body rest are the keys to recovery in the first 1-2 weeks. No activities now that could result in another blow to the head.
I have a small radial head fracture and sprained wrist. Saw the Dr and he didn't put a cast on or anything. Should I get a second opinion?
My son got hit in the face today and has an obvious deformation of the nose and was told his nose was sprained is this possible?
Not uncommon: If you sprain your ankle, what usually occurs is there is a stretching or tearing of the ligaments involved. It is not unusual for this to be associated with some bleeding in the area that can later cause the area to develop a blue discoloration. If you have concern, don't hesitate to be seen.
Coban wrappd finger4 reinjury sprain. Used cream&did massage&stretch 1mth. Now skin looks crepy&dermal ridges seem stretched/enlarged. Permanent? What 2do
Unlikely Permanent: Coban was not designed to be used for more than a few minutes as a pressure dressing. Using it for several day (even an hour or several hours) could permanently damage the circulation and cause the loss of a finger. Since your finger has not been removed, the things you are notcing are unlikely to be permanent. Moisture or cream under the coban could cause the symptoms noted, bur will be normal.See 1 more doctor answer
What to do if I have a sprained ankle that is healing. What is this mush like tissue under my skin?
Sprained Ankle: Could be edema as a result of the injury. If so, it should improve over time.
No: The warmth from the light will feel good. As the injury heals stretching and strengthening are needed.
On 9-26-12, my neck was injured and I heard it crack. The pain is getting worse after a sprained neck was diagnosed. Jaw and back now hurt. Why?!
Swelling won't heal from months ago. Feels ok now but still swollen. On the top side of the forearm near the wrist under skin Sprained it (I thought).?
Long time: Seems taking a long time to resolve so perhaps you did more damage than you thought. Better see the doctor for exam now to see what is going on.See 1 more doctor answer
