I noticed last night my bottom teeth had a little bit of white instead of pink gum around it. What could it be from?
Dental cleaning: If the gums are white, then it could be dead tissue sloughing off. It's not uncommon, and you should not be too concerned if it disappears. If it's a hard build-up on your teeth, then it is saliva deposits and bacteria that need to be removed with instruments - i.e. A dental cleaning. This also is common in lower teeth, but you can minimize it by flossing. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
Many reasons: White around the teeth can be anything from food debris to cancer. That said, more common causes are fungal infections like thrush, tissue changes like leukoplakia that occur with smoking, bad oral hygiene, or overuse of alcoholic mouthwashes. The tissues at the edges are thin and are sensitive to systemic changes like diabetes and vitamin deficiencies like scurvy. See your dentist soon. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
What does having white gums around and below my teeth mean? Nothing seems to have changed in my health or diet.
Maybe nothing: Your gums immediately below your teeth should be pink but certainly more pale than the mucosa further from your teeth. Gums are covered with a keratin layer, like skin, hair, fingernails. Mucosa doesn't have this keratin layer & is more translucent. Extremely pale gums could be a sign of systemic conditions such as anemia. I suggest you see your dentist or periodontist. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
Gum problems: There any number of causes for your symptoms. If you have a regular dentist, i would see him as soon as you can. He may employ the help of a periodontist for final diagnosis depending on what he finds. In my opinion without seeing for myself, it sounds like a fairly uncommon condition called anug- acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis. See your dentist or periodontist. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
I have a white ring on my bottom gum near my teeth it's red around, very sore, and it's like a hole.. What could it be?
Aphthous ulcer: It's most likely a cancer sore. It is painful, I get them sometimes when I eat acidic foods. You can put some oil of clove on it to numb it. It will burn a bit when you put it in but will go away within a few minutes. If your dentist has a soft tissue laser that can also help with the healing process. It should go away in about a week. Hope this helps!!! ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›

I have small white bumps on my gums that have been around for awhile, 2+ months. I had HPV shots and got new front teeth, moving my bite?
Connection: What's the connection between the white bumps, the new front teeth, and your bite moving? I think you really have to return to the dentist that treated you for comparison of today's "bite" to your baseline, and for evaluation of the "bumps.". ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›

I cut my gum near my teeth about 5 days ago and now it turned white with like the tissue separated. It really hurts. How do I make it heal faster?
MaybeBiteTheBullet: Dead skin on the outside can often turn black. That means it's dead. But,of course,if not too extensive, will heal and grow back.In the mouth it turns white(because, unlike on the outside it dries-up,in the mouth it swells with moisture from saliva)To help it heal you need to use a mouthwash and keep brushing all the other teeth. In a few days you may need an antibiotic if not better or getting worse. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
