Have an exam: Swollen lymph nodes are often a sign of infection. It is fairly common to have swollen bumps in the labia and external vagina due to blocked glands, ingrown hairs, boils, etc. and they can become infected. A number of things: That is a common location for pain from kidney infections or kidney stones. In addition any pelvic pathology like an ovarian cyst could present in that location. It does sound : Like classic hip pain. Have you had an x-ray to id the problem? Arthritis? Fracture? The good news is that hip replacement, if indicated, can bring dramatic pain relief-even including post-op pain. (just be sure to do your physical therapy 'religiously') but start with some tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen & talk to your doc to see what she/he thinks should be done to get you feeling better.
