Your best bet: Is to review these issues with your primary care doctor. They could be anxiety related but may also be related to another process. Nerve Irritation: Since the activity of holding the telephone could put pressure on nerves at the wrists or elbow. That could cause irritation of the ulnar nerve which could cause numbness of the 4th and 5th fingers. At the wrist the median nerve irritation causing numbness of the first 4 fingers. How much drinking?: Alcohol can cause a condition called neuropathy usually described by people as numbness/tingling in the fingers/toes. However, this occurs usually over long periods of time & more than social usage. So, unless you've been using alcohol since age 3- I doubt that's the cause.
