Duration: 5 years. Symptoms: pain in soles of feet. Burning/aching pain, worst when standing, better walking/running. Pain worse if i've had no sleep.

Neuropathic pain: Sounds very much like sympathetic pain (or at least a sympathetic component of a mixed pain) look for an underlying disease (diabetes?), or a history of trauma. If x-rays (or mri?) are normal, and there is no bony pathology, i would look for a soft tissue pathology (sonogram) sleep deprivation is a common trigger of sympathetic / neuropathic pain. ...Read more

104 is high for 4 yo: Viral infections usually, but not always present with lower temperatures. I would expect a bacterial infection may be the cause. 104 temp and all it entails can dehydrate a toddler quickly. Hydration and md visit are in order. Hope he feels better! ...Read more
