Second opinion: It is hard to diagnosis anything like your symptoms with out seeing and examining your eyes. If an ophthalmologist said things are normal it may be wise to see a neurologist or neuro-ophthalmic specialist. ...Read more

My son has a fever and his eye sockets are extremrly hot as well as his body why are his eye sockets hot and eyes red and glassy?
Some viral infection: have this characteristic. One of the more common illnesses that cause a high fever and glassy, red eyes with watery discharge would be influenza. Orbital cellulitis causes the eyelids to be red and swollen and needs evaluation. ...Read more

They are often a part of aging or can represent early signs of a retinal tear. Sinus problems usually are noted below or above the eye where the frontal and maxillary sinuses are located. Inflammation here can cause aching. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

It is not normal for the eyes to shrink because even when the eye pressure is near zero, the eye maintains shape. Retinal detachments have entirely different symptoms. You seriously need to see an eye specialist. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Why are my eyes so dry, yellow where my whites are exposed to sun and i feel like my eye sockets are just throbbing causing headaches everyday?
Needs evaluation: Dry eye is a relatively common patient complaint. In most patients it is the result of where you live. In other cases it can be the result of heredity, eye injury, previous surgery (esp LASIK), or an illness such as Sjogren's syndrome. I would try preservative-free artificial tears up to 8x/day, take omega-3 fatty acids, and if persistent would go see your eye doctor. ...Read more
